The Ingredient Story

Butternut Squash

Meet butternut squash. It's not only a deliciously sweet fruit, but it's also full of sweet nutritional benefits. It's loaded with vitamins, high in protein and low in calories. In particular, it's high in vitamin B6 which is known for its positive effects on mood. Like when you see a puppy or leprechaun at the end of a rainbow.

You know ginger. It's up there in the world's healthiest foods list. It's loaded with nutrients and especially high in gingerol, which is the ingredient responsible for ginger's anti-inflammatory properties. Ginger can help aid nausea, digestion, muscle pain, and control the weather. It's practically the holy grail!

You've tried turmeric. It's that magical spice that's amazing in soups (duh) and has powerful medicinal properties. Turmeric contains a substance called curcumin that offers high anti-inflammatory properties. Get this: it can also increase the growth of new neurons in your brain. Woah.

How to Blend

First, tear off the orange tab completely.

Through the flap of your cup, add warm water (and not boiling) to the fill line. Close the flap tightly.

After adding liquid, squeeze your cup repeatedly to ensure the food isn't stuck to the bottom of the cup.

Place the cup upside down in the Xi Machine. Push the start button. When the blend is complete, this makes up to a 16 oz soup.

Remove the lid and heat the soup in either the microwave for two minutes or in a pot over the stove. Enjoy!
